my musings are highly valued

i can always analyze things, but does that really demonstrate that i know what they mean?

i can see from here that rome is in flames, but as it burns, so i shall fiddle.

if you fear dying, then you’re already dead. freedom is to let go, and in letting go we release all fears of the unknown. there is, after all, a reason they call it freefalling.

…but drugs and alcohol are bad. i draw the line at chemical substances because while carving down an icy slope at 50 miles per hour is all just fun and games, marijuana is serious business. that stuff can kill you, don’t you know?

i crave an identity, therefore i tumble.

why are you always waiting? tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

I’ve always been a fan of Renoir. While his later works lacked substance, his earlier forays into Impressionism were masterful. I love how perfectly he captures the emotions and feelings of his subjects, like in this one (this painting being my favourite of Renoir’s works). Those people, what are they looking at? I’d give just about anything to know. The faces, the motion, the strokes, it’s all so much better than the attempts of other Impressionist painters. Particularly that bastard Caillebotte, his obsession with masculinity echoes the chauvinistic expectations and values of a decaying artistic vanguard.
